1960 Trac Grip Autotruck “unique, quirky & cute” | Season 3 – Episode 85
Wheels Nov 24, 2023
One of the more unusual vehicles we have featured in Ireland Made is the Trac Grip autotruck with a 420cc BSA engine. This unusual and ultra-rare vehicle has been restored to better than new condition by the multi-talented Pat Cullen from Rathdrum, County Wicklow.
The Trac Grip was designed in the 1950s for small horticultural businesses for when moving loads in tight spaces or over rough terrain was required. Its ability to carry a heavy load on a tipping body, with high manoeuvrability due to its tricycle configuration made it very useful for those farming in tight spaces in orchards or mushroom houses.
