Celebrating the 500th Episode of Ireland Made – Stories of Irish Transport | Season 5 – Episode 100
Floats, Wheels, Wings Dec 15, 2025
I am delighted to share with you that we have reached a major milestone on Ireland Made – stories of Irish transport, we have just passed our 500th episode! I am delighted and I never thought when. We started off in 2018 that we would be able to produce two video-stories every week and go on to produce 500 episodes. You name it and we have covered it – if it is in the air, land sea, we have covered all the stories.
HOW IT BEGAN
Following a lifetime passion for all things mechanical, in 2018 I decided to showcase interesting projects being built by neighbours and friends in Co Leitrim, launching a small picture-based website called Leitrim Made. Early stories included a Kioti tracked tractor, an MZ motorcycle with trailer, the respray of our Land Rover Series 3 and a 1936 Wolseley “Wacky Racer”.
During lockdown in 2020 the project expanded to cover the entire island and was relaunched as Ireland Made, adopting the Irish Elk as its logo, depicted in St Patrick’s Blue. In 2021 the platform evolved again with a new website and a growing library of video-blogs. Today, twice weekly, we share stories of Irish transport past and present.
