Supporting Irish Museums
Since 2021, the Ireland Made team has collaborated with museums across Ireland to jointly promote stories of Irish transport past and present. To mark International Museum Day on 18th May, we’re excited to bring you our entire collection of 41 videos and stories produced in collaboration with 13 museums located across Ireland.
Our feature video for International Museum Day is our interview with John Mitchell from Kilgarvan Motor Museum and how his Cork built 1963 DKW Junior car was lost to him for 54 years.

Our museum videos and accompanying articles have covered all aspects of transport from armoured cars, barges, bulk carriers, electric sports cars, electric trucks, flying boats, a Land Cruiser, monorail, paddle steamers, record beating planes, pump trolleys, ships, steam lorries, tractors, trains and even a home-made submarine!
If a vehicle had wings, wheels or it floats and there was a connection to Ireland, we promoted the museum and the story. Please enjoy our museum video collection and plan a visit to your nearest museum this weekend.
