What began in the 1970s as a small car collection has expanded into The Kilgarvan Motor Museum which hosts an impressive display of vintage and classic cars, including such eminent models as Alvis, Austin, Bentley, a Cork-built Ford Model T, Mercedes, Rolls Royce and a large collection of automobilia.
The museum also has some further mysteries you can explore in the barn behind the museum – you never know what you might find?
The museum is located in an area of stunning scenery and is a 15-minute drive east of the town of Kenmare and just outside the village of Kilgarvan. You can expect a warm welcome from the Mitchell family who are always eager to share the passion of their collection with visitors. Also, the museum is at the centre of some of the best driving roads in Ireland such as the Wild Atlantic Way, Ring of Kerry, Ring of Beara as well as the well-known rally stage, the Healy Pass.
